Durante toda la historia de la humanidad, hombres y mujeres han intentado darle sentido al universo. Alumnos y alumnas de Educación Infantil del C.E.I.P. "Doctor Jiménez Rueda" de Atarfe representan mediante el teatro "La luz del Universo" algunos hitos importantes en astronomía, desde la observaciones del sol, la luna y las estrellas en la Prehistoria; hasta el conocimiento del Universo que tenemos en la actualidad gracias a los avances tecnológicos y a las aportaciones a lo largo de la historia de grandes científicos y científicas. Sabemos que habitamos un minúsculo planeta de un sistema solar regido por el Sol y que está localizado en la periferia de la Vía Láctea. Aunque hemos recorrido un largo camino en nuestra comprensión del cosmos, con nuevos descubrimientos casi cada día, aún nos queda mucho por saber y por descubrir. Este teatro va dedicado a todas aquellas científicas y astrónomas que por el simple hecho de ser mujer se han encontrado con muchas trabas.

THE LIGHT OF THE UNIVERSE

Thoroughout the history of mankind, men and women have tried to give a meaning to the universe. Pupils from the Primary School of C.E.I.P. “Doctor Jiménez Rueda” of Atarfe, present through their show “The Light of the Universe”, some important milestones in astronomy from the observations of the sun, the moon and stars to the Prehistory, until the knowlodge of the Universe that we know today is thanks to the technological advances and contributions throughout history of some immense scientists such. We know that we inhabit a tiny planet in a Solar System, governed be the sun and located on the periphery of the Milky Way. Although we have travelled a long way in our understanding of the cosmos, with new discoveries being made almost every day, we still have much to learn and to discover. This show is dedicated to all those scientists and astronomers that for the simple fact of being a woman have encountered many obstacles to exercise their profession.
